Veronese vase by Seguso vetri d’arte, Murano 1939

The widely applied denomination of this vase -“Veronese”- refers to a 16th century painting by Paolo Veronese “Annunciazione” (Galleria dell’Academia, Venice) on which it is reproduced. The model proved immensely popular and was offered by many 20th century Murano glass factories in a variety of techniques.
